In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hidden quantity on variable products pageHi,
so what happens is this (conclusions after debating with the theme provider support):
- sold individually is not checked
- from Woocommerce version 7.4 apparently the behaviour of variable products has changed: (old version) articles with manage stock ticked on the main/ parent product that usually of course have no stock but user had to put 1 in stock to show as “in stock” for Woo blocks where “true” out of stock products is unchecked….. (new version) manage stock with 1 on stock on main product disables the qty selection as it is somehow redundant
- now, on new behaviour, user needs to put 0 stock on main product and now the qty selection is allowed on variations
A bit of a confusing change and unfortunate effects, as both options (0 stock or old 1 stock that users were forced to use) could have been left on for the functionality not to break. Wonder how a true distinction can be made between out of stock products that need to be hidden from blocks and variable products that of course do not have stock on parent.
Thank you for your help!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hidden quantity on variable products pageHi @roxannestoltz ,
thanks for the reply.
I’ve applied Storefront on the staging site and (whilst the orginial theme – + buttons are gone) I have no input quantity at all on Storefront.
The theme provider believes ” <input type=”hidden”… ” is the culprit and that they are not causing it. Even with all other plugins deactivated this “hidden” value stays the same.
So…solution would be to change “hidden” to something else? But to what, where and how?
LE: this is only a problem on variable products
