In reply to: Installed MAMP, seems fine, installed WordPress strange errors.MAMP stands for Macintosh, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. MAMP is an application you can install on your Mac which allows you to have access to a local PHP server and MySQL server. Essentially, MAMP gives you all of the tools you need to run WordPress on your machine, for development and testing purposes. You can accomplish this in different ways, but the other ways aren’t nearly as simple (see MacOS_X_Local_Mirror for the long, manual version of installing PHP and MySQL on your Mac).
This is a download from the WordPress site.

In reply to: Installed MAMP, seems fine, installed WordPress strange errors. My site is hosted with our Internet provider, Verizon FIOS. It’s like a gimme with our Internet service.
I thought by installing MAMP, it would allow PHP to be enabled. (Pardon my ignorance)
Do I need to find a new host, like GoDaddy, where I registered my URL name in order to enable PHP, or am I missing an easy fix?
