I’d recommend to use the plugin “widgets on pages” by Todd Halfpenny.
Works perfectly.

We had to increase php memory. there seams to be no problem with the plugin 😉

Guys, after installing the 1.4 update I can’t connect to my site anymore. just receiving HTTP 500 errors. Can’t even login to the admin panel. 500 everywhere! help. How can I deactivate the plugin using ssh or ftp?
