You can set the query to “Current Query” and then the loop works in an archive template as well. Works also for Custom Post Type categories.

So your answer to the question “Is there a way to make it work in a product grid that isn’t archive? (e.g. upsells in single product page, and latest products in the home page.)” would be very important to me.
Anyway thanks for this priceless plugin!

I didn’t find box-shadow or background-image definitions, but just realized that I can surround the Easy Rotator code with div tags and style them – works well in this case.
And I just realized that the new version has responsive support, wonderful!!
