Do you have any updates on this issue?
I’ve got exactly the same issues, and I also have CloudFlare + wordfence and Wp-rocket installed.
At first I only had Wordfence and Wp-rocket. At this point, the feed plugin never updated automatically but there were never any issues with manual update.
After I got Cloudflare, the problem started with stuck feed on manual update. I have tried both with/without wp-cron/server cron enabled.

I tested WP Mail SMTP just now, and it is still not working…

Same problem here… Worked fine for months, suddenly few hours it stopped working.

Customer service is very helpful and friendly as well!!
