This is marked Resolved but I just ran across this post because I was having exactly the same problem: no matter what I typed into Finder, there were no results. I did what sstaffie suggested and – lo and behold – it started working again.
That’s fine, Fahim. It’s working for me as long as I use specific blog layouts, as described above. I assume there’s still an issue with the layout if the other blog layouts are used.
SteveI discovered a workaround. The issue only happens with Elementor Blog Layout 3 through 6, not with the Classic layouts. Looking at the Inspector, the <id=”primary” class=”content-area sidebar-left layout1 col-md-12″> code is applying float-right and squeezing the footer into very narrow columns on the left. The other layouts have float-none.

In reply to: [Sydney] How to customize the page when I click on a category? Thanks for getting back, Kharis. And thanks for the pointer; I hadn’t yet run across that Customize > Blog function.
I’m using Sydney version 2.02 with a Sydney Child theme that doesn’t contain a lot of customization. I’m including Snipboard links for the following screens:
News listing (desktop): https://snipboard.io/AVeviL.jpg
News listing (tablet): https://snipboard.io/igtTC0.jpg
Article (desktop): https://snipboard.io/3z7CFT.jpg
Category (desktop): https://snipboard.io/GC4tNZ.jpg
Category (tablet): https://snipboard.io/gGNeM2.jpgThe header and footer are implemented using Elementor Header & Footer Builder. They work on all screens except the Category (Desktop), above. All the other desktop screens display fine.
Blog Archive settings:
— Layout: Classic
— Sidebar enabled
— Feature image enabled
I’m not sure if the other attributes are relevant. If you have any suggestions, great. At the same time, it’s been helpful to discover Customize > Blog.
