Hi
Thanks for responding. What is the time line for these changes to become effective?
I either need to have Speaker groups that are Vendor specific, or I need to hide these elements using CSS or JavaScript.
It simply is not correct that one Vendor can attach another Vendors Speakers to an event that that Speaker has no association with. It is confusing!
Thanks
My apologies…I found the issue was due to the Manage Access settings, which is a new element of the plugin that I had overlooked. I have changed these settings for Vendors and they can now see the correct links for bookings and attendees.
Problem solved!
Hi
Thanks for your response. I will contact you over the Support system to gain further insight.
Hi
Thanks for responding! However, your answer does not give me confidence that this will actually be implemented any time soon.
As it stands, I cannot use the plugin as it breaches GDPR laws due to the confidentiality of speakers and the fact that their information is being shared between vendors.
This is a serious issue that could be exploited negatively.
You cannot have one vendor add another vendor’s speakers to their event.
I have tried to remove any evidence of Speaker Groups using just CSS or JavaScript to hide it on the page, but the way the DIV elements are coded means that I cannot dig down to the correct element as they have not been given specific classes to identify them (another issue I feel should be addressed!)
Seriously, if this issue is not addressed, the whole plugin is in breach of GDPR laws and makes it unusable in the real world.
Please address this issue seriously and urgently.
Hi
The reason that the Speaker cannot be created is that new speakers and organisers are now being stored as actual users within WordPress which I find to be rather confusing and not the correct way to handle the speakers and organisers.
The reason an existing user cannot be a speaker or organiser is because that email address is already in the database as a user and cannot be duplicated.
This method also provides the speaker/organiser access to the system as a user…which really they should not be have.
I have a membership site and do not want speakers/organisers to be able to log in and access restricted areas of the site.
What is the future of this method? Will it be totally changed? I need a solution to this issue as I have to make coding decisions on how to handle whichever method is planned for the future. I cannot have speakers/organisers having user access to the site.
Hi Support
I regret to re-open this ticket after so long. I am still waiting for the plugin to be translatable on both front and back end.
When is this going to be solved? I opened this ticket over 4 months ago, and I am still waiting.
No. The default role will be ‘subscriber’. Additional roles will be ‘wpa_user’ and ‘academy_student’
The question is what function to hook to. Normally I would hook to ‘user_register’. Does Youzify use this or another function when registering a new user?
Hi
Thanks for responding! To clarify, when a user creates an account from the Youzify register page on the front end, they are creating an account with the user role ‘subscriber’.
Want I am aiming to achieve is at that same moment, when the user is created as a subscriber, I want to also assign that user with the additional user roles ‘wpa_user’ and ‘academy_student’.
This should happen automatically when the new user account is created.
Thanks
Hi
Thanks for responding. I have followed your advice, but unfortunately, the issues persist.
I have opened a ticket on your support site and hope to hear from you soon.
Many thanks
Upon further investigation, it seems that if the Organiser is added from the edit event page, the Organiser image appears correctly. However, if the Organiser is created from the ‘Speakers’ page and then that speaker is associated with the event as an Organiser, the image does not show on the single event page.
It seems that this error only occurs when using either template 2 or 3.
Hi
Thanks for your response! I do like to work with a team that is attentive to the customer’s needs…it makes a change!!
I can change the text myself, but only by changing the core code. Updates will overwrite these changes so best practice is to use language files for such changes.
I look forward to your coming update and will continue to point out any errors I find when working with your plugin as I do like it and want to help (if possible) to get a fully working product.
Thanks again!!
Hi
I am still waiting for the plugin to be translatable for both the frontend and back end of the system. My clients need have access to the backend to submit events and some of your content needs to be written in correct English.
On a similar note, on the frontend when an event has ‘expired’, a notice is shown on the single event page (if using Template 2 or 3) that says “This Event Has Expaired”.
This should say ‘expired’ not ‘expaired’. When I try to change this via Loco Translate, that text does not appear to be in the language file. I assume this is hard coded and not dynamic.
Can you please make this text translatable so I can fix the spelling mistake?
Many thanks
Got you!!! I see the map now!! Wooo Hooo!!
OK, so now I am going to ask this…if I wanted to change the layout of templates, I have read in your documentation that this is done via hooks and filters, but these changes will only effect template 1.
If I wanted to rearrange the layout of template 1 using hooks and filters, how can the map be incorporated into these changes?
A more detailed explanation of this process in your documentation would be helpful.

Honestly, I would like to suggest that the single event template page could be created as a template within Elementor, like you can do with WooCommerce Product pages, but your Elementor widgets only allow meta data from specified events to be pulled, not from the archive…if this makes sense to you?!?! Just a suggestion.
Anyway…thanks again for your responses and continued efforts to improve your plugin.
Kind regards
Hi
I appreciate your response and continued efforts to improve your plugin. Thank you.
Regarding the templates, I look forward to future releases that address this issue.
As far as Google Maps are concerned, I do not see any change. I have my google maps API set in the back end settings and Google does call the address when entered at the point of event creation. However, only the written address is being brought into the front end template. The actual map itself does not show.
Take a look: https://staging.events4kids.co.uk/event/joes-test-event/
Am I missing something??
Thanks for your help.
