In reply to: [Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense] Fixed widgets broken with 1.10.2 updateHi Thomas,
You’re welcome and I appreciate you being so on top of your development. Excellent support.
I decided to make a post here in addition to my email since I had narrowed down the issue to the latest 1.10.2 update.
I’m glad to hear it’s fixed and I’ll just wait to do the plugin update until it’s live. 1.10.1 works perfectly fine until then.
Thanks again.
Hi Ahmed,
Thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate plugins who actually support their customers in a useful way. I love this plugin other than this issue.
Yes, that’s what it seems like is happening. I have “NO” checked to all the Ad options because I don’t use Adsense or any ad servers.
One example URL you could check out is: https://www.beatthefish.com/old-buddies-phil-hellmuth-and-mike-matusow-heads-up-at-lapc/amp/
The page actually passes AMP validation, which is good, but it shows 2 issues.
Chrome inspection calls it “amp-ad is already registered. The script tag for amp-ad is likely included twice in the page.”
AMP validator calls it “The tag ‘amp-ad extension .js script’ appears more than once in the document. This will soon be an error.”
I’m concerned this will turn into errors in the future without me knowing it.
I do have plain image ads implemented with the Advanced Ads plugin, but it shows the exact same error with that plugin disabled so it isn’t coming from that.
Anything you could do to fix this would be great. Thanks.
The same thing happens with their ad extensions. Even if all of the ads are disabled the coding still lives in your AMP pages and reports the same “the may become an error in the future” issue.
I should add that I don’t use your ad feature at all so it’s frustrating that the ad tag would be added anyway.
