Hi Ross, the Problem was indeed in the
Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a[href*=#]:not([href=#])
After the Theme that caused the error was updated, the problem was gone. I only got some mixed content which I solved with the “Better Search Replace” plugin. Sorry for bothering you.
The thing was that I changed the blog to SSL the day before and the update to 4.5 was done automatically over night so I thought my SSL config was the problem but it was the change to 4.5 because they changed so much under the hood of wp. Bad timing…

Where or how did you see this syntax error? I don’t use analytic tools because I don’t know how ;). Thats why I use wp. Normally it just works.
