as i already posted above. i changed the php version from 4 to 5. now everything is working and the captcha is showing the right way.
i realized that it’s not a problem with really simple captcha because i tried another captcha and it was the same way (all the characters on the left and overlapping).
upgraded to php5. fixed it.
