    Another update:

    • My web hoster claimed that they are not restricting file creation and also could not find anything related in the logs, so this also does not seem to be the issue.
    • I have meanwhile setup a new test wordpress instance with only the backup migration plugin installed, and I see the same issue in this case. This just re-verifies that the security plugins are not related to observed behaviour.
    • Could this be somehow related to the wordpress version (I’m on 6.8.1, during plugin installation it was said that 6.7.2 is the last tested version) and/or PHP version (I’ve tested with 8.2.28 and 8.3.20)?
    • @mixha, any other idea? Here is a new debug code for the almost-empty wordpress test installation: BMI-hzbaRhGl-71286

    Hi @mixha,

unfortunately disabling of security plugins (both NinjaFirewall and Security Optimizer) did not change anything in observed behavior, also changing to a different folder did not help. Would you have any other idea about the cause?

Meanwhile I have also contacted my web hoster and asked him about any zip-related security measures on his side, but can only hardly imagine this as the problem …

    Thank you for support!

Sorry, I missed the recent feedback – I will try to do a backup with disabled security tools and respond here.
