I am going to have to admit user error on my part. Being so frustrated at it not working, I troubleshot the install and realized that my security settings for my sites were to blame. The author might add some instructions for ensuring that users do a double check on the basics before asking for help, despite still not having heard from “support.”
did you change your settings.php file to the correct database info?
Readme.txt has some instructions.
