In reply to: [Polylang] Posts in different languages are not connectedWell, I just updated our development site to the latest WP version, I checked a listing or two, and a couple of pages, I didn’t notice any problem, as far as the translations are concerned. Now, I have to figure out how to go back to our classic editor, that block-based thing makes me crazy!

In reply to: [Polylang] Posts in different languages are not connected@gjudycki, I am sorry, I am not using WordPress 5, so I can’t help much. But typically, the same questions apply to you.

In reply to: [Polylang] Posts in different languages are not connectedWhen you see all posts, does the table contains the second one you created? If you go in the first post, in the default language, in the right column, in the “Languages” box, do you see the titles you gave to the other languages posts? If you click on on the pencil, next to the alternate language flag, do you get to see the alternate language post and be able to edit it?

In reply to: [Polylang] Posts in different languages are not connectedWhen you create a post, and you are done with it, in the first language, you do not get out to create another one. From within that post, you go in the Languages box, in the right column and click on the pencil, next to the other flag, you want to translate that post into. A new window will open, in which you create your post, in the second language. In that way, all posts for that topic, are synchronized.

In reply to: [Polylang] PolyLang plugin resets the chosen language.Have you created a Bulgarian copy of your menu??? If you have, you need to point the menu options to the Bulgarian pages, instead of the English ones.

In reply to: [Polylang] Not friendlyI have no relation to Polylang, so I have no interest in promoting them. But I am managing a tourist-related info site, which needs to provide info in three languages. I tried different plugins before deciding on Polylang. It works as expected every time, as long as you follow its instructions. Never had an issue with it.
I hope you re-evaluate your point of view, because (believe me) you will not find something better than that.

In reply to: [Polylang] Not friendlyI’ve installed and been using Polylang in our site for at least two years! It’s God-sent. The easier method to create and maintain a site in more than one languages. I can’t talk about its compatibility with WooCommerce, since I do not use WooCommerce, but if you follow the instructions, it is perfect. And if you are a little bit into coding, it allows you to “translate” plugins which are not even compatible with Polylang (up to a point).

In reply to: [Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields] Conflict with Yoast Premium pluginSorry I didn’t follow the right procedure, but I wasn’t sure who the … culprit was.
Anyway, I just upgraded to pods 2.7.11 and it looks as if the problem was fixed.
Thank you!
I understand “fun times” but suggesting to a paid customer to upgrade to WP5 in order to solve this issue, while on the same time your own documentation suggests that we should wait for some time before upgrading to WP5, is a sorry approach. That’s what your support suggested and I find it hard to shallow. Like I find it hard to understand how your support can suggest to shut down an active site, by deactivating all plugins and non-WP themes, in order to find out what is causing this issue.
While I understand what you are all going through with the update of WP, such an approach is not acceptable for a production site. Thank God, we also have a development site in which we can test things,
@tacoverdo, if you are part of the management team in Yoast, your support leaves a lot to be desired. If you are not, I would appreciate an email address for your top management.
Thank you!!!
I have done that. And I figured out what the problem was. The plugin Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields causes the problem, if you are running their latest version. If you run the previous one, everything is fine.
Sniper007, are you by any chance using Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields plugin in your site?
