    Hello,

Yes this has nothing to do with Scraped Media Pty Ltd, it’s just someone spamming blogs trying to cause problems.

However we have traced who’s doing it, and been in contact with our business accounts manager at PayPal who will handle it. If anyone did send money to us at either of those PayPal addresses it will be immediately returned.

You can just delete the comment, there is no risk to your blog being hacked it’s just bulk spam.

    Regards, Scraped Media.

Personally, I would really hate to see these wonderful plugins removed from the site. I use many of them..

    Why not bookmark his site?

So you feel that everything that anyone does, including apps to help you make money, should be free to use with no strings and no obligations? Would you use their plugins if you had to pay money for them before you get to try them out? Do you feel ShareWare is wrong?

Let this one slip through and watch what happens, every internet marketer under the sun will be submitting plugins where you have to sign up to spam lists.

So you are ok for the WP Repo to wind up like that, where you can’t get a plugin without signing up to spam lists, visiting a string of sites?

What next, send the user to a landing page to complete a survey which earns the author a couple of bucks because it costs you nothing right? How about make them install a “free” toolbar before downloading the plugin?

Heard the saying, give them an inch and they will take a mile?

If the line is not drawn soon, watch what happens.

If you want to make money, great build a plugin or theme, setup a landing page and sell it on your own website don’t ride off the coat tails of the WP website.

If you want to give away a theme or plugin and contribute to the Open Source nature of WordPress then submit it here.

    Simple no?

WordPress don’t ask you to signup, pay or jump through hoops to download WordPress so why the hell should developers be allowed to here?

Seriously i’d rather pay for the things than be signed up to spam lists and pitched offers i couldn’t care less about. So i avoid Maxblogpress like the plague.

I hope these things are pulled from the official WP repository, otherwise every marketer and his dog will start using wp.org as a marketing platform and render the resource useless.

It’s as frustrating as heck, i been reading for about 5 hours now trying to do the same thing. Am i any closer? Nope!

Same here, i just added nofollow to the Rel box and you can’t type anything in there it just deletes it.

Why is it set like this, is it a bug?
