In reply to: Images missing when not logged in (SSL issue?)You are the One. Thank you so very much for pointing me in the right direction!
I would never have found that:
wp-content/.htaccess contained a RewriteRule I had put there before activating SSL:
RewriteRule .*\.(gif|png|jpg|doc|xls|pdf|html|htm|xlsx|docx|mp4|mov)$ https://stimmbaend-hannover.de/ [NC]
Missed the s in that line …Another PEBKAC solved in well under an hour. 🙂

In reply to: Images missing when not logged in (SSL issue?)To my knowledge I am not using any caching and optimization plugins and already executed “Better Search Replace” to replace
http://stimmbaend-hannover.dewithhttps://stimmbaend-hannover.de. I just deactivated all plugins anyway and repeated the procedure just now. “Better Search Replace” did not find anything to change, so the issue still exists.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Static startpage displayed twiceThanks a lot Michael for your hint. This put me on the right track:
The issue is caused by NOT selecting anything at all for “Front Page Section 1 Content”. By default all four dropdown selectors for all of the sections are empty.
Unfortunately that causes the issue I experienced.Solution: From Customizing – Theme Options I chose “— Select —” for “Front Page Section 1 Content” to populate the empty entry.
Before:

After:

I would have expected the same result for not selecting anything at all and chosing the — Select —” option. In both cases “nothing” is defined as content for section 1, but leaving the field blank – which it is by default – causes the static startpage to be displayed twice.
Please consider this a change request.
