Okay, Chris, when you say “Just copy [this code] and paste it where you want the featured image,” I am assuming you mean to paste it into functions.php. If I should put it somewhere else, please specify.

I am pasting it into the area in functions.php that begins:
`// Non admin functions
} else {`

I don’t think the plugin will work for me because I have my own specific images I want to use & the description implies that the plugin searches the interwebs for appropriate imagery, then plugs that into the post. Thank you, though.

Mark, you will have to tell me where I ought to be looking for that piece of code you suggest for the version number. In the page source code? There are 12 instances there of meta name.

The first one in line 13:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width" />

The second one in line 36:
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress.com" />

Though it IS followed immediately by:
<link rel='shortlink' href='http://wp.me/4Xob5' />

But that doesn’t look like a version to me or even a related definition (though I could easily be wrong). None of the others are even close.

I HAVE seen the version somewhere recently, but I’m damned if I can remember where. I’m sure it’s someplace really obvious, obvious to someone else besides me, that is.
