I have found the problem. IT was caused by WPOptimize’s cache/wpo–minify. After disabling “minify” everything works as a charm.

In reply to: [Weather Station] shortcode figures not updated on mobile devicesUpdate! I have just tried setting up Weather Station using widgets and see the same problem as when using shortcodes. Widget is updated on a PC, but not om tablets and phones (both IOS and Android). The only way I can get updated data on mobile and tablets is if I alter some settings in Weather Station plugin (e.g. switching cache settings). Then I see the data being updated one time and thereafter static.
My website is hosted at Siteground and I have tried deactivating their caching mechanism, but it has no effect.
Pleas advise…
Newbie question: deleting the plugin is just removing files in the “all-in-one WP sec…..” folder and then cleaing the database for “all-in-on wp sec…” entries?
I tried to add define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’ , true ); to the wp-config.php and that did the trick. I am closing the case.
