I’ve resolved the issue. The culprit: a custom style sheet I use in Safari. After removing that style sheet under preferences -> advanced, the flash uploader works just fine.

I would also like to add, that I can use the flash uploader under the Media selection in the CP. But for some reason, if I go to insert an image while writing a post I get the blank “Add an image” window. I can also provide a screenshot if that would help. If anyone can assist, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I don’t think our problems are the same. I can’t upload at all. The only way I can upload is to use an older version of OS X, use Windows or upload the image manually. It seems like you at least have the ability to select an image (which I can’t do) and then attempt to upload it. I can’t select any image from my computer because the flash upload window doesn’t display anything except the brown title bar at the top that says “Add an Image” and an “X” to close the window. I’ve even tried reloading the page to no avail.
