    I was able to remedy the situation by doing the following:

    Removed Coblocks
    Recreated Main page with normal WP Blocks
    On post I made regarding ALIGNMENT WITH ROWS with 3 columns not aligning (and it seems it was removed) …
    I was able to accomplish proper alignment by using GRID as opposed to rows – AND it wraps – AND it’s Mobile. (all of which were not working correctly with ROWS)

    @threadi

    I have removed the Coblocks plugin entirely (on our staging site) and recreated 2 of the pages using blocks — ONE page (CONTACT) is a mess of alignments – when each row is a literal duplicate of the previous and NO setting on any row is different OR responding on mobile properly.

    “Please do not create duplicate topics again. It makes it harder on the 100% volunteers who support WordPress when you do that.”

    I did precisely this days back when I found a topic that aligned with my issue and was instructed by SOME Moderator – that I was not to tag along on to others topics but instead to start my own!

    Seemed counterproductive to me and I “thought” I had read not to do that as you are saying HERE but yunno, it was a moderator that said it. Literally I was verbally SPANKED for doing that. Just sayin’

    Days ago, there was another similar topic and I responded that we were having the same issue – when I received a pretty perturbed message from someone/moderator to keep topics singular??
    I THOUGHT I was just saying “Hey we have a similar problem” rather than starting a redundant topic – LIKE PEOPLE HERE ARE DOING?? I mean it DOES SAY check to see if the topic is already posted smh

    Anyway, I swear I’ve had to deal with this very same issue before and wish I could remember what it was BECAUSE I remember having to do the entire main page OVER AGAIN – and did not think I used Coblocks. Was fairly certain I used WP Blocks with the 2 columns – then 2 columns inside those – to have a total of 4 images in a row (seems awkward to me but thats what it is….) If that isn’t the case, I don’t remember why (I just wear too many hats onG)

    In any event I guess it sounds like a CORE ISSUE at this point to see others are having the same issues and though I prefer to keep updates, UP-TO-DATE, they’re not always so safe – all these new things get tested on us – which is why I only update on our staging site now – because I can’t have this happening on a web-based business site every time WordPress is trying out something new.

    @edithmayerhofer I understand … I had been running the deletion for well over a week and it still had only deleted about 10%, which is when I called on the host. (thankfully they were able to remove it nearly immediately, and then I had to find out about that extra file in the root directory and delete THAT too)

    For those of us with LIVE sites that people use for day-to-day operations of an entire company … this literally was a website horror story, no joke. :-/

    @edithmayerhofer We finally contacted our host who was able to delete the rest of the object.cache much faster. It was literally MILLIONS of files… smh … also … there was an additional file in the root, a part of that cache that ALSO has to be removed. Sharing the info with you since it was something I didn’t know was still wrong until I wrangled with this horror story.

    Hi Margaret… About that topic, I actually started it! ha

    Anyway, I am happy to let you know I was able to find that file per your help AND Wordfence traffic IS displaying now and all seems to be working well.

    Only issue having trouble with discerning is the “Web Application Firewall – Stops Complex Attacks” in Firewall Options is just 35%? and the values it in … but overall … everything else seems to be back to normal – thanks to YOU!

    Thank you for all of your help.

    You’re right I am still seeing a line of error on the top of the page on the WordPress dashboard
    “files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/qhcxp598jsqd/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php.”

    However it WAS removed by the host and I can confirm through file directories *FTP* however I am NOT sure what remnants could be hanging around since that plugin failed SO badly AND …

    the thread you referenced was actually started by me – if you look further down the page you will see “TABLE DESIGNS”?? That’s me *us*….

    They haven’t fixed it yet – no update yet. AND I uninstalled it and then we had to remove that cache.
    At first “I” was doing so through FTP when we discovered file usage was maxed out – THEN finally asked the host (Godaddy) and THEY deleted it. Just last week …

    Ive also started an entirely new staging site *which is where I am working currently* and the LIVE is backdated – since WordPress had crashed – formatting all thrown out of whack – the caching plugin messed up – and Wordfence too. I’ve been at my wits end with all of these fires to put out :/

    SENT YA THAT DIAGNOSTICS REPORT too!

    Hi Margaret,

    So the object.cache IS gone. If you recall, I mentioned the W3 Total Cache plugin having failed and we discovered that it had stored MILLIONS of files on the host server – so that has since been deleted.

    Not sure why you are seeing anything that points to it.

    Hi Margaret,

    So I did as you instructed and I am not seeing any errors … moreover, we set up a new staging area that has its own hosting space, as opposed to being on the same server and migrated the current site over to the new staging site..

    Checking today, I have live traffic on the new staging site… (this of course totally perplexes me because it’s the same site – the only difference is everything is updated … new WordPress and all new plugin updates (but i have to comb through it all before I can replicate on our LIVE site because there are issues with formatting etc)

    That said, I REALLY can’t understand why live traffic wouldn’t show up on LIVE and concerned because the LIVE needs protection from Wordfence – and I can’t know if it’s running right?

    (@tabledesigns)

    Thanks so much Margaret. So I have stepped through your instructions and Wordfence is reactivated now however I am STILL not seeing any Live Traffic??

    When I check this on my other personal sites – I DO see live traffic – so I am at a loss. Ive done what you instructed and not seeing the traffic, I don’t know how to be sure Wordfence is working properly?

    @wfmargaret

    Hello again Margaret … sorry it has been a while since I last spoke with you – the holidays and the disaster I am dealing with on the site has prevented me from getting to everything I need to do inclusive of installing the WP Crontrol etc

    In any case, this is the issue I am running into now and unsure about how to proceed…

    So we had the major issue with W3 Total Cache and it created MILLIONS of files that are currently being deleted from the Cache (object.cache) …. It has been running for well over a week now … and still only 67% complete (smh)

    I mention it BECAUSE, when I try to deactivate Wordfence in order to follow thru on the steps you provided, it won’t allow me to … I get an error message having to do with the W3 Total Cache issue

    I WONDERED if I can’t just delete Wordfence via FTP or if I should in fact wait until this object cache is finally deleted (and by the looks of how long it is taking, I am afraid the website will not be protected)??

    This is the error:

    update failed: W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/qhcxp598jsqd/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php. {“success”:true,”data”:{“update”:”plugin”,”slug”:”wordfence”,”oldVersion”:”Version 7.11.7″,”newVersion”:”Version 8.0.1″,”plugin”:”wordfence\/wordfence.php”,”pluginName”:”Wordfence Security”}}

    AND

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/qhcxp598jsqd/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php.
