This is because of the way taxes are added, we are going to release an option to include taxes in the prices that get sent to the payment gateway, because there are some differences that are lost because of the rounding precision.

The plugin is not making any status change, the standard is to notify WooCommerce of the payment. So the status change is something that WooCommerce does based on your settings.
