Yes, I did indeed disable the Kudos SMTP setting. And I’m well aware that email functionality can be a real pain, so I’ll figure out a temporary solution until a new version is out.

As for the email, there already is a SMTP plugin in place that handles the email, but the Kudos plugin doesn’t seem to pick up on it. Not sure why though. I guess I’ll try and find another mailserver then.
Thanks for considering it, and glad to have pointed it out then. I am familiar in the sense of being able to implement and use filters and hooks. Spitting through the entire plugin code to figure out the entire issue might be a bit too much though.
Quick extra question if I may…the plugin doesn’t seem to work with the GMail SMTP server (I’m guessing because of the extra GMail API stuff required). Any plans to implement that?
