In reply to: Deleted a data base and lost all my siteHey.. all fixed Thank goodness… it appears I also removed the data base USER as well but my host provider fixed it. Told them I owe them a few beers.

In reply to: Deleted a data base and lost all my siteHi t-p.. I have just spoken to hosting provider and they directed me to a restore on the C Panel call “Jetbackup” I restored the database and just asked them what I do now as the site did not magically come back online. Fingers xd

I can place an image by putting it on e.g. Flickr and pasting link into the page/post but still no Media showing when I click “Add Media” would it be the upgrade to 3.9.2 ???

The first one is not good as it deletes users that are simply logged on and inactive. (I understand) I want one that will inform users that e.g. “You have not posted for 90 days and your account is about to be closed”
(or similar)
The second one has a comment “It doesn’t work on WordPress v3.6.” and I am using 3.6.If you find another please let me know.
I got the idea from a V Bulletin site I was a member of and I got an auto email telling me;“Your account has been made inactive due to not posting anything for 90 days and as a result your account has reduced access privileges applied.
You will no longer be able to access any of the member forums, vote on -enter any competitions, on the site.”

In reply to: newbie – installI feel your pain. I have just signed with a new hosting provider in Au.My old one was in the USA and support was hard. BUT in the transfer I have lost all my websites. 3 main ones and sub domains. My AU web host does not have Word Press in their CPanel as the USA one did. That was easy to install and run Word Press. So here I am Barb absolutely, completely horribly lost. I have a strong feeling I will never see my websites again and will have to start the Word Press ones from scratch when I learn how to do that. The other was a VBulletin forum based site and with that I have NOT a clue how to set it up. I was good with WP, even got used to changing CSS etc. BUT, I spent maybe not hundreds but certainly dozens of hours and it has all gone.:-( So I cant even direct you to my sites …. yet.. Yep I feel for you. Please do the same for me.

I have fiddled and tweaked and played around a lot and have got up 3 designs. Would appreciate some feedback on what works / looks best etc. Plus ideas of what else can be incorporated.

In reply to: Please review my website!Thanks for the feedback itsnotstalking. Yes I appreciate there is a lot of colour used, I tried to use a different font colour for each country. I also went that way to give the site a “happy” feel but point taken 🙂
And thanks also praveen comments appreciated. My problem is that I am a newbie on this and am VERY WARY of playing around in the editor as I changed something once and lost everything. Had to go to my Guru to get me back on again 🙁
Re items 3,4,5 I will cautiously try that. (Fingers crossed) I don’t want to “break it”, it has taken many hours of mucking around in the back end.. One small step at a time LOL

I think acboy thought you were talking about his fonts (or am I wrong?) I updated it only last night as it took me HOURS to find out by experiment how to change fonts, size and colours. When I get my strength back I will have a look at alternatives, have lots of time as it is still in experimental stage. I like the fonts on your site especially as it is a business site. But must tell you the font in your page heading I really hate…….BORING LOL sorry 🙂
Your colours are great, very appealing and attracting.
