Thank you for your input — We will try to find someone who can replicate this so we can fix it before it happens to an unhappy customer.
I appreciate the help!
Thanks,
Tay SchmidtThank you for your response,
This is the one time where you saying it works is bad news!
Do you have any recommendations on how to test for a JS error/conflict while I can’t replicate the issue?
OR — do I need to search until I find someone who can replicate, then work with them to systematically test against plugins/themes etc.? (Didn’t know if there was some resource to search for conflicts)
As far as the customer-side possibility, any way to force/override that?
Thanks!
Frank,
We were told of this fix when I was working with PayPal and it seemed to continue even after unticking that box.
Perhaps a conflict lies somewhere else, or there were multiple conflicts, where unticking fixed one conflict, but another remained.
Perhaps once the issue is rooted out I will re-install and test with AO again and hopefully with that box unticked it will be fine.
However, I want as few factors in play as possible until we fix what is going on.
Thanks!
Optimizing Matters —
I believe earlier in this thread I tried what you suggested, and Joey said that it didn’t seem to change the outcome.
Joey,
Thank you so much!
One more test just to confirm — I have deactivated Autoptimize on http://www.shannoncohen.com.
Can you test the path there and tell me if it still works? Then I think we are solved!
Joey,
Yes I would still like help with this.
Are you able to access/test the process on the staging site?
If you aren’t able to replicate the issue…then I think we are almost there.
Thanks!
Joey,
It has been a few days — checking in to see if you have been able to test this.
Thanks!
Joey,
I have a staging set up here: http://shiny-penmenship.flywheelstaging.com/
I have activated Storefront, and have de-activated all plugins that are not WooCommerce related.
Can you test, and let me know what you see? If it works, then we can test against Autoptimize to see if that was in fact where the conflict is taking place.
Thank you again for all your help thus far.
Thank you both for such prompt and helpful replies.
Joey, I tried incognito in FireFox and was still not replicate the issue — however, given what Optimizing Matters said, it may not matter what browser I am using, I may not be able to replicate it.
I have un-checked the box that they told me to. Joey, could you go through the same steps you took to replicate, and let me know if anything has changed?
I can also reach out to that first user I mentioned and have her test it.
Thank you all!
Thank you — I thought this was resolved, but have just been notified that it was not resolved, so I will start a new thread with an answer to your question.
