Thank you for your reply. I extracted the wordpress files into the htdocs folder. I renamed the wordpress folder to wp and made the changes to the config file. I also created a database in phpmyadmin named wp. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I know when I enter http://localhost:8080/wp is accessed because I first forgot to change the wordpress folder name and got an “object not found”. When I changed to wp, is when I got the page time out.
