Actually it does, but you have to select a method in its own menu Very Simple Captcha. I selected smalles/biggest number. After that it will appear in the comment form.

I looked in the code and realized that it was actually never supposed to be not under admin_menu, but under network_admin_menu.
I’ve tested, wpDirAuth 1.7.6 fully works with WordPress 3.5 (single site and multisite).
