although, saying that, having checked the resolution of the image i dragged off, it is the high resolution!
guess when you drag it off, it just doesnt have the @2x file extension like I was expecting
wondered how they could look much sharper!

well, the images look fairly sharp, but when I drag the images onto the desktop, NONE on them have a ‘x2’ at the end.
Do they for you?
for example the top left thumb says ‘lockedthumb-301×251.jpg’ not ‘lockedthumb-301×[email protected]
I am on a macbook retina set to optimum retina screen resolution
Can anyone help? Why aren’t I getting retina images on the site even though they have been created?
Ok, so I have managed to figure out what i asked above, 1) I assume that if its working i can drag the image onto the destop (on my retina mac) and if its working it will the 2x one and 2) I have managed to get to server-based
HOWEVER – its still not serving up the retina images, either on the portfolio page or the one on the about page
please help 🙁
to be honest, i have no idea if its working or not. Are you saying its not? (i do have a retina macbook) – is there a way of testing?
i’m using client method, would use server method but it says i need to set up permalinks and i have worked that out yet!
