I have moved this question to the Events Manager Pro Support Forums. Thanks.
Yes, this has been tested several times as previously suggested.
Unfortunately, we cannot post a link since it is in maintenance mode. As I asked above, if you can give me an email address I can sen you a login.
Have you, or anyone, tried it on a multi-site install?
WordPress 3.8.1 with Multi-Site enabled
Events Manager Version 5.5.2.1
We do not have Events Manager Pro yetAll plugins were disabled, default theme installed, tried again but same problems exist.
🙁
Yes, the list is now grouped by “daily” and the problem exists. If I choose any other grouping (weekly, yearly, monthly) it also exists. However, if grouping is turned off (choose none) then it works correctly, albeit without the preferred grouping.
This change does not affect the issue with the map locations popup. Though a similar problem, when one clicks the pagination on the location popup you go to what looks to be similar to a browser source page.
Thanks.
So we upgraded to the latest dev version but still having the same problem on both the search listing and from the map location popup.
Again, this is a multi-site installation.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Before we try a development version I’d like to mention that our install is a multi-site install. Wondering is this issue has been corrected for such installs?
btw, I notice that a similar issue is happening when clicking to go to Page 2 from the location popup on the map.
How can I download and try this version? Not prepared to spend $150 to test 🙂
Yes, I have tried it with all plugins deactivated and the default WP theme used.
There doesn’t seem to be a conflict of any sort, no errors, etc. It’s just not going to the proper page. The source code shows:
/events/?pno=2
/events/?pno=3I assume that there is supposed to be the search tag attached?
Unfortunately your demo doesn’t have enough listings to do a multi-page search to test or compare.
Please advise how I can get login info to you
Thanks.
Unfortunately, it is in maintenance mode. However, if you let me know how to get email to you I can send you a login.
On closer inspection I see that it doesn’t show all event results when I click the pagination links but shows all event listings for the day following the last day on page one.
For example, after entering a search term EM brings up results for that term like so:
Feb 12 – Search Term Result for this day
Feb 13 – Search Term Result for this day
Feb 14 – Search Term Result for this dayWhen I then click page 2 of pagination to shows:
Feb 15 – All Events for this day
Feb 16 – All Events for this dayForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] Default Event ImageAwesome! Works like a charm! Thanks!
I’m sorry but I don’t believe you understand. I’ll try to explain better.
There is no problem uploading large file sizes, and they are being resized through the WP admin.
The problem is that EM is NOT resizing image uploads made from the front-end form.
I guess I should ask at this time if this IS or IS NOT available with Events Manager? Perhaps I’m looking for something that isn’t there?
I assume that I am missing something, a switch, or whatever, to enable this. However, in EM Image Size Settings I just read, “These settings will only apply to the image uploading if using our front-end forms. In your WP admin area, images are handled by WordPress.”
Again, to me, this is such an important allowance, to be able to upload any size image, that I expect that one would be able to do this.
Thanks.
Yes, I have but it did not correct the problem. Thanks.
Phil,
When a user submits an event via EM’s front-end form with an image that exceeds the parameters that have been set the error shows as:
The image file is too big! Maximum size: 3145728
The image is too big! Maximum size allowed: 620 x 620Again, all works fine when an event is submitted from the backend, where the image is automatically resized.
I believe your statement “the resizing happens when the event is viewed, after being published” refers to the use of a placeholder (#_EVENTIMAGE{100,100}”) where any size image is resized for layout/design AFTER it has been uploaded. I am referring to when a user submits the event image from the front-end form, it should be resized on upload.
It appears that EM is not using the WP resize at all since the error is relating the settings in Events Manager Image Settings. The WP resize settings are higher. For example, in the case above images should be resized to the 600px setting, far below EM’s maximum 620px setting. Likewise, the image weight adjusted accordingly.
I want our users to be able to upload a photo from their computer without the need for them to resize it first. I believe this is an unnecessary step and will likely deter a lot of people from posting events, or at least, images. I’m still assuming that I’m overlooking something because I assume this process to be a given for any event submission.
Unfortunately, I am not aware of other sites that use EM so I cannot test their setup and EM’s demo requires an email address to submit the form but there is no where to enter one.
I hope this helps.
Thanks
