    Hi @ricsca2

The idea is to always update the content on your site to have the latest info and offer the most help to users. When search engines crawl a post, regardless of the date they do, they look at the dates as a signal of how recently the content went out so a post from last year will most likely show dates from last year even if it was crawled this year. Crawlers have their own logic of how to determine the post date, which is where this plugin comes in handy.

To your question about the 5000+ posts having different dates. Please take a site backup, update to the latest version, set up the offset you want in the plugin settings and test with a couple of the posts to be sure it works the way you want before updating all posts. Preferrably if you have a staging environment for your site, that would be best to test before doing it on the live site, if not, test a small number of posts first before doing the rest.

Let me know if that works all fine or you need help with anything else.

Thank you for checking the plugin out!

    Hi @ricsca2

It is always advisable to take backups before running any updates like this. Please could you update to the latest version and let me know if you still run into any issues.

    Thank you.

Hi @frozenpenguins sorry to hear you ran into some issues with updating your posts. It is always advisable to take backups before making any changes to your site.

Could you please provide some more info about the issue? And do you have a screenshot of the exact settings used that produced an error for you?

I have tried to update a single post using the ‘filter posts’ option on a test site and this works as expected. You can try the same on the live preview on the plugin page – https://prnt.sc/UGTWrwb0lkQE

Please try to use the same settings from your site on this preview site and see if it updates only the selected post or all posts. It’s possible there might be a plugin conflict on your site but happy to help further if you can provide more info and try the live preview out and let me know what you find.

Oh perfect @rockfire i’ll try that out but that’s exactly what I need from the looks of it. Great work with the plugin!

    Hi Nithin @wpmudevsupport11

Yes I understand the current setup is the expected behaviour and I was not suggesting that the registration/login forms are not working as they should. Those templates work fine and should retain their meta and connections as you mentioned.

What I am suggesting is a ‘password’ field that can be used across other forms and does not need to be connected to the login/registration form templates. The field should work just like other fields work in regular templates and do not need to be connected to anything special, the user is free to use the field as they need for their form.

    Regards.

    Hi @wpmudev-support7

Thanks for the reply. Yes I understand the password field is currently setup in those two templates, however, I’m suggesting it can be made into a normal field used for any form (not restricted to two templates). This way, the field can be used for custom forms that might be needed on a site such as a custom sign up form for a portal or a form that needs to collect information such as api keys, or other password as needed for custom forms.

The password field is simply an input field with a type of ‘password’ and can be used in different use cases, not just in the restricted two templates at the moment. Some other forms offer this without restrictions and it would be helpful if the password field could also be used like other forminator input fields like email, phone number, etc.

    Thank you.

    Hi @mcalpin1

Marking this as resolved as I haven’t heard anything back. Please feel free to send another message if you run into any issues on your site, along with debug info and any helpful screenshots.

    Thank you.

    Hi @centoasa

Marking this as resolved since the plugin doesn’t conflict with w3 total cache. Please feel free to send another message if you run into any issues on your site, along with debug info and any helpful screenshots.

    Cheers.

    Hi @centoasa

Thanks for looking into the issue on your site a bit more! I’ve installed the w3 total cache along with my plugin on a staging site and it seems to work fine to show the settings page – https://prnt.sc/thnu9LntC1on

Could you try clearing your cache maybe but I can see the error message states that a file in the W3 cache is missing a class. I don’t have any class by that name in the plugin and the plugin also cannot add/delete any files or classes from other plugins so not sure where exactly the conflict is coming from. You can try contacting your host to clear any cache or if they can provide with any server logs that has more information, or you could try opening a support ticket with W3 cache so they can investigate the missing class.

If they are able to sort the issue out and we can find an error message that points to something specifically in this plugin, I can get that fixed once we do.

    Thanks!

    Hi @albie2011

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing some issues with it on your site too. If you could please try debugging on a staging site as well to see if you can find any conflicts or a specific error message relating to the plugin, that would be really helpful.

Once you find the specific error with the plugin on your site, please open a new support ticket with the details and I will resolve it as quickly as I can.

    Thanks.

    (@temak)

Ok sure, no problem at all @centoasa

Let me know how that goes and I find work on a fix once we’re able to trace the issue.

    (@temak)

That’s really strange and i’m not sure what might be going on with it @centoasa

Do you have a staging site you can use for debugging? It can be useful to try disabling all the plugins on the site and activate them one by one with this plugin set to active and see where the conflict is.

I’m happy to help but need to see a specific problem/error message relating to the plugin itself for me to pin point what needs to be fixed if it’s with the plugin.

    (@temak)

    Ok got it @centoasa

When you visit the plugin settings page with the debug set to true, does it show any additional error message please? And not just the ‘A critical error has occurred on this site. Check your site administrator’s inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, try the support forums.’ message. If you could also check your admin email if it sends you the specific error as this is what will help to resolve the issue.

    Thank you.

    (@temak)

    Hi @centoasa

If it occurs when the plugin is active, it’s most likely due to some conflict.

Unfortunately, the attached log doesn’t show any fatal error messages and does not have any logs of the plugin itself so it’s a bit difficult to trace the issue you are facing. With the debug enabled, does the website show any errors when you visit it now? And is this error happening on a specific page or across the whole website?

    Plugin Author Timi Makinde

    (@temak)

    Hi @centoasa

Does this only occur when the plugin is active on the website?

If you could also turn on WP_DEBUG so it outputs the specific error, that would help to troubleshoot better. You can use the guide here https://wpforms.com/developers/how-to-enable-debugging-in-wordpress/ and you can also get in touch with your hosting company to assist you.

If you can provide a log for me to have a look at, I can try to trace the issue and see if it’s a problem in the plugin to be fixed.

    Thanks.
