I will try waiting a day to see if I can get Brandon back to re-subscribed tomorrow.
Regarding how I dleted Brandon in the first place: Yes, I selected “Delete” under the Actions drop-down menu for Brandon. Then I selected the radio button “Delete and archive” (or rather it was selected by default), then I typed in the word DELETE into the space below “Type DELETE to confirm” then I clicked the Delete button underneath.
Again I will wait 24 hours and try to re-add Brandon and will report back in! 🙂

I am in Houston and my friend Brandon is in Chicago. After I deleted Brandon earlier today, Brandon just tried to re-sign up from Chicago for our mailing list via our web form on our website. The message that came back was “Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.”
We also entered a dummy sign up to make sure the system worked and the dummy sign up went through fine and we got this message: “Thank you, your sign-up request was successful! Please check your email inbox to confirm.”
So it looks like when a subscriber is deleted they are permanently banned from a MailChimp email list. Maybe they can get back in in their next life! Sorry it doesn’t work in this life! 🙂
Note to all.. Do NOT delete anyone from your list unless you really mean to. They will never be able to get back in.

Is the lesson here that if you delete a subscriber they are permanently barred from your mailing list until the sun melts the earth 4 billions years from now?
How (if at all possible) can you re-add someone to your list who I mistakenly deleted? Thank you!
