I am using contac form7 on its own with no other plugins.
It must be the mailer application then as everything is clickable.
I could provide you a sample (send you an email from the form on my site) should you wish to examine this?
Am I right assuming that there is no way to force the form to use plain text only – either through the plugin settings or WordPress settings?

It’s not the site, it is was is shown in the resulting email sent.
Emails, web links, scripts are not stripped of any html code and are clickable, therefore creating potential for someone to send malicious code or website address.
