Thanks for checking out the product! The Events Calendar version you are using is a free version of the paid plugin Events Calendar Pro. It is, unfortunately, unsupported at this point, as we’re making updates to the program.
What you can do is either modify it yourself (it is an open source plugin), or to buy the paid one. Please note, however, that we are currently working on the next free release, which will be a more updated code base and should play nicer with WordPress’ more recent builds. We’re expecting to release that in early fall.
