Sarahjd where did you get the template? Sometimes templates from places like themeforest, elegantthemes etc. Have a folder inside a folder that is the template.

To clone a website if you would just like to use the same content. Leave the wp-confiq.php to the database you want to pull the content from the database. Then to put the same pictures themes and plugins copy the wp-content folder. You also will want to change the URL also.
