I have tracked this down to something to do with SSO. As soon as I have single sign on activated no mails will send unless I am logged into wordpress.

I seem to be experiencing the same issue. I have gone through checking and rechecking that the mail settings.
The only time a successful email is sent is if I am logged in. If I am logged off and do a form submission the wait spinner spins without returning an error or success.
Any suggestions welcome 🙂
