  • Hey, I am having this same exact problem on 2 different installs WP 4.11 and OneUp. Regular media uploads fine, but nothing in the galleries. What was the fix?

    I can live with that.

Ummm can you elaborate on “get into your admin back end”?? I am cool with that on the surface, but need more details….

I installed the plugin and the second plugin, activated both and had the same exact issue.

Oh I understand where you are coming from completely. The iFeature theme is pretty popular though (the newest theme version has over 500K downloads already) and I know they won’t agree that it’s a theme problem, they’ll just blame the plug in since they are the bigger guy in this situation. It’s what happens when you get so many developers in the same space trying to come up with creative solutions. Every once in a while they bump heads. It might be as simple as assigning the widget box that you are using to a different space or placeholder, but as I said before, I don’t know enough about WP to know if that’s even viable. Let me know if you want a couple of screenshots and I’ll send ’em to ya.

    Thanks

I did some troubleshooting after this comment and did all that you said above. It appears to be a conflict with this theme and your plugin and what you both use as place holder for data. I’m not great with programming in WP, but I am familiar with core concepts so I’m going to try to explain it as best as I can. If you would like I can email you some screenshots.

The iFeature theme has two active widget sections: Footer and R sidebar. Even though there is no L Sidebar in the there, it’s listed there in the widgets section on the top right. The box appears inactive at first glance, but apparently is a placeholder for certain styling in the theme. Specifically the backdrop (not the background but the backdrops for each picture and post) and some of the sizing scripts. If you go to my site the “backdrops” are the white boxes behind each post and image in the sidebar and in the feature boxes at top. When I install Displet Pop, the plugin uses this same placeholder location but overwrites it with the data for displet pop. The instant the plugin is activated the theme dumps the backdrops and related formatting and it whacks out the sight.

I hope that made sense, if not a couple screenshots I can email you would make it really easy to understand. The question here is this then. Is there another widget area that displet pop can be assigned to in place of the L Sidebar?

I’m currenlty using a different pop-up plugin that I hate and would really love to use yours.

    Thanks

Hello, I’ve installed this plugin today with the basic 2012 theme and it doesn’t shadowbox any of my pictures. I also had jetpack carousel installed and it wouldn’t do it either. I deactivated the jetpack carousel feature as I prefer to use shadowbox and it won’t turn on. I bet I’m missing something basic can someone help? http://www.theconstantrambler.com
