no error message
on debugging site it only says – No thumbnail found
btw: if i test rutube on debugging page it says it works for iframe and Video URL. however within a new post only Rutube – Video URL works

the result is still very bad only youtube and rutube are working

If opening that URL in your web browser returns anything else than an error page, the problem may be related to your web server and might be something your host administrator can solve.
Error Details: couldn’t connect to hostclicking on the link gets me on a page with the following content:

so, my question: is it enough to tell him the following urls
- http://rutube.ru/
- http://vk.com/
- http://www.dailymotion.com/
- https://www.youtube.com/
- https://www.facebook.com/
i am asking because i have seen that the dailymotion thumb is on a subdomain: https://api.dailymotion.com as is rutube: http://pic.rutube.ru/

if i paste the embed code AND the direct link url in the same post, and save the draft – the thumbnail gets created. as soon as the thumbnail is there i can delete the link.
not the best solution – but for me it works
