Yes. It is possible to show the file “Link” from a custom directory. As this is a custom requirement (not an issue with the plugin, rather a custom function requirement), please send an email to our support to this email address – support[at]themexa[dot]com

We are so sorry to hear the inconvenience. However, we have addressed the issue already and released a new version with CSS filetype support.
Update the plugin to the latest version and the problem will be solved.

Secure File Manager does not use the native WordPress Media Manager. So the feature you are looking for doesn’t really go with our plugin. But, if you are still looking for that functionality, you may try this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-users-media/
Description of that plugin includes:
What the plugin does is to disable the ability for users to access other members files and attachments through the Media Button and Featured Image sections.
