Thank you for that! I had to do some digging but apparently my site was set to use PHP 5.2 instead of staying up to date. Changed it to PHP 5.5, refreshed, and the issue is gone.

I have gotten the same error every time I have attempted to activate the plugin after updating to the current version. I have included the error statement below but with the unique info for my site removed. Any assistance is much appreciated!
