In reply to: Increase Space Between Lines in the sidebarHello. Maybe this will work.
Find the div that contains the list and change the line-height property for that div in the stylesheet.
Or.. if the list is contain in an- tage, you’ll need to change the line-height in the ul, using the stylesheet.
Hope that works.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: How do I find out my username?Yes, the wp-admin username.
It wasn’t actully ‘admin’ but that jogged my memory as to the one I’d chosen, because it was similar.
Thanks Nigel! :o)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How do I find out my username? To help me try and remember, maybe you can tell me…
Is the username one I would have chosen myself or was it generated from the name of my blog?

In reply to: Same CSS & layout but two pages look different in SAME BROWSER!I worked it out. In case anyone else has a similar problem – the first <html> tage from my header had gone missing. Firefox was prepared to forgive this but IE wasn’t!

In reply to: Where are the category template files? For example, on my index page I have a sidebar with some static text in. On the pages that display other categories I’d like different static text in the sidebar. That’s basically what I’m trying to achieve.

In reply to: Where are the category template files?Assuming I do want category templates (because as far as I can tell this is the only way to give different looks to the categories), does this mean I have to create them myself?
I suppose if I’m creating them I could use the index template as a starting point to adapt? And should I save them in the same directoty as index.php?

In reply to: Several headers for several different pages? Thanks. I’ve now read through all the docs about template files for categories and think I understand what I have to do with them, but I just can’t find where they are to edit them!
I can’t seem them in wp-content/themes/default
Where are they?
Will a template file for a category be generated automatically when I create that category?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Need a bit of CSS adviceOk, as I’ve now got to this stage using it, is there anything I can do?!
The ‘tabs’ idea is a common one, there must be a way of making it work and line up.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Several headers for several different pages? Thanks, that’s starting to make sense now.
Sorry, I’m using my own terminology here, by ‘listing’ I just mean a list of posts.Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: Feedback for dealcolossus.comIn terms of the design and layout, the joins between the ‘marble’ tiles at the top are not very smooth and there’s quite a lot of empty space at the top of the page.
