May I ask how you solved the problem? I have the same problem.
I have already configured the compliance plugin in WordPress and the tag manager was integrated via the plugin GTM4WP. I have set the appropriate triggers in the Tag Manager as described here: https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/ but the tags (GA4/UA/Google Ads Conversion Tracking) fire though you click on reject. Do you have to somehow implement an additional code snippet in the website with the events that the triggers work or what do you think is the problem here?
