Update: we redownloaded the latest WordPress 2.7 and reuploaded the wp-load.php from that set of files to our web server via FTP. Problem is now resolved, and we’re backing up everything else again just in case–but apparently a few people have run into this problem, so there may be some larger problem going on.
Ours looks like this:

Exact same problem here…can someone please help? The site is completely inaccessible…
