I checked
– wpconfig: charecter set looks correct [define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);]
– database records: they are good, Umlauts are there
– export directly from database: correct, Umlauts are there
– export through wordpress admin backend (tools/ export): also correctFiles exported through wp2static still have the encoding errors.
BTW: Links in the inital support request don’t work any longer.

This is what I did:
De-activated the existing LSCache Plugin. Renamed the plugin folder via ftp.
Installed and activated the new version, following your instructions. Had a short look at the setting – they seem to be the same as before.I also installed the plugin on my development site, with the same settings as on the live site. There I don’t get the message (but I don’t have enough images/ “credits” there so I’m not sure if auto optimization would be triggered).

Automatic optimization also works, but I still get the error message.
Object cache is OFF.

It appears on top of every WP backend screen, where all plugin messages appear. Sorry I don’t know how to upload a screenshot in this forum.
Image optimization seems to work despite the message.

Problem was not related to Printfriendly. Just conincidence.

super, die Shortcode-Prio hat das Problem gelöst. Es lässt sich zuverlässig reproduzieren: Bei Prio = 9 sieht alles OK aus, bei Prio = 10 kommt der Anzeigefehler.
Ich schließe daraus, dass das die eigentliche Ursache für das Problem gar nicht bei Printfriendly (bzw. seiner De-Installation) lag, sondern irgendwo anders. Ich werde bei nächster Gelegenheit auf meiner lokalen Installation weiter testen. Falls ich helfen kann, indem ich etwas spezielles teste, lass es mich bitte wissen.

ich habe am Wochenende herumprobiert:1. Auf Seiten tritt das Problem nicht auf, nur bei Posts.
2. Wenn ich in den _globalen_ Shariff-Einstellungen die Option deaktiviere, die Buttons nach allen Beiträgen einzufügen und dann bei einem _einzelnen_ Post in der Meta-Box die Anzeige nach dem Beitrag aktiviere, wird bei diesem Beitrag alles korrekt angezeigt.
3. Auf einer Testseite (https://www.henrietteskitchen.com/how-to-prepare-frankfurt-green-sauce/) konnte ich das Problem nicht reproduzieren.
3.1 Ich beide Plugins installiert/aktiviert. Kein Anzeigeproblem, aber ein Klick auf den Shariff-Print-Button öffnet auf einmal das Druck-Fenster von Print Friendly.
3.2 Nach Deaktivierung von Print Friendly ist alles wieder in Ordnung.
3.3 Ich habe Print Friendly jetzt wieder aktiviert, falls es Euch hilft, den Fehler zu finden.4. Auf meiner lokalen Installation von dreiminutenei lässt sich der Fehler reproduzieren. Ich habe am WE leider vergessen, einen Screenshot zu machen und sitze jetzt an einem anderen Rechner. Würde ein Screenhsot überhaupt weiterhelfen?

Thanks for the response. I’m not sure I should edit my theme files, because that might cause problems with theme updates. Guess I’d better look for another way to post to FB. Please don’t misunderstand: I appreciate your help – I just don’t want to bother with code.
