In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Can sub-taxonomies be indented in the list page? And the problem is solved. Without doing anything. Just as suddenly as it happened, it got solved.
This is what I did –
Deleted the “test” child-taxonomy (in my last screenshot). It got deleted and the entire list appeared in properly nested form.
I don’t know how to explain this. But I am happy that it is solved.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Can sub-taxonomies be indented in the list page? Not sure what you meant by color/image setup.
I found out one more new thing today. If I add a child taxonomy, it appears fine. Properly nested under parent taxonomy. [Added “test” under Bone Health ]
But somehow the past child taxonomies just doesn’t show.
It’s funny given that I have done no recent changes/migration/update/change in settings etc.

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Can sub-taxonomies be indented in the list page?I actually shifted to the default theme (Twenty Twenty) while testing. Problem existed.
It is working. There is nothing wrong with the functionality, per se. It is just the listing that is not proper (which of course is very inconvenient in terms of managing)
Haven’t checked the mu-plugins folder on server. Never made any changes there. But will check once and update.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Can sub-taxonomies be indented in the list page?I turned off ALL plugins. I turned off even the theme. I just turned on CPTUI. The result remains the same. The child taxonomies just doesn’t show in the list. It appears fine in the Edit article page though…

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Can sub-taxonomies be indented in the list page?Ok. I delved into it a bit more. And I have a few more insights. I am breaking them down pointwise. Apparently, they look like separate issues but I believe they are same. Hence listing them in the same thread…
Case 1: My CPT (health) is set as hierarchical = true. I added a taxonomy = Cancer. Then I added a multiple child taxonomies like Eye Cancer, Liver Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, Lung Cancer. [ I have 16 parent taxonomies and 106 child taxonomies ].Problem:
In the list of “Health”, the list shows ONLY the parent taxonomies. The child taxonomies are not displayed at all. Though the pagination number appears and the total count of taxonomy count also shows 122, but the page only displays 16 parent taxonomies.
The same list when it appears on the article edit page, the entire taxonomy list appears nicely with the child taxonomies properly nested under parent taxonomies.

Case 2: If I set hierarchical = false, the entire list of taxonomies appear. Of course the child parent relationship and nested display is no more there but at least it shows the entire list.
What am I doing wrong?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] Can sub-taxonomies be indented in the list page?I have added taxonomy Cancer. (No parent)
Then, I added Liver Cancer and chose Cancer as parent.
Isn’t that how I am supposed to do it?
