If one or more of your updates is less than 24 hours ago, it is displayed as “12 hours ago”, if not – it displays the date.
To change the 24-hours rule, go to:
wp-admin -> Widgets -> Edit Twitter for wordpess. Look at line #94. The default is 86400 (number of seconds in a day). Try to change this to a higher number (e.g. 604800 = one week).
