…and still 5 stars? Just wondering.

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedI can confirm that I am able now to delete the former (API received) review which was cancelled by Google in the meantime. Thanks!

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedI understand. For me, just a space right before and after the parantheses of the Google note would be more than enough! Perhaps just a quick + dirty option instead of a whole concept change?
Again – just curious: You wrote “Also, if some people are displaying original and translation review text side-by-side, altering this could affect their websites.”
I still don’t have any idea how this can be managed. Is there an option I have overlooked?

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedWhat is the method to display original and translation review text side-by-side? I don’t know how to manage this. (I won’t do this, just curious).
At the moment both review parts (original and translated) are not separated very well. It looks as:
this is the end of the original review.(Translated by Google)This is the translated part. Please note the missing spaces before and after the parantheses ‘Translated by Google’. I think that this is hard to read for a user and typographically not nice.
Example: https://i.imgur.com/UMAuqIo.pngCouldn’t you just offer a variable to be able to separate both text parts in several ways? E. g. newline, same line, or with another string than “translated by Google”.

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedPlease, could you check the import in respect to “only import original” pulldown menu? I’d like to import only the original (e. g. just an English review and not the translation to German). But the pulldown menu has no effect, i. e. the German translation is beeing imported.
BTW Would it be possible to show reviews in a random order? I only have place on my website for e. g. 6-7 reviews, but we would like some more to display. Of course I have a link for showing all reviews, but changing the displayed reviews randomly would be very nice. (Or better: a pagination…?)
Cheers, Thorsten

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedGREAT! This was it…! 😉
Thanks for tracking it down!I just overlooked the possibility to insert the date.
Just a note in respect to the exact date: every time one gets an review one is notified by Google Business. So the date can be (easily) determined!

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedIn the preview I can see all (34) other reviews. But even if I select only one preview it does not work. I even tried in a clean browser, but with the same result.
Wordpress: 5.41See: https://i.imgur.com/ydPVWZN.png
BTW To be sure that we use the same data for the import I uploaded the ‘lcorif’ code snippet here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/w1dd9t
Could you please check that it’s identical to the code you tried to import? Is there any API check during the import? Because I think that for today my Google API access rights has been exhausted. Perhaps this could be the cause?
BTW Is it possible for anybody to import reviews other than his own this way? I hope not. Otherwise one could easily cheat. I asked because you seemed to be able to test the import issue with my reviews.

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedPerhaps it has something to do with utf8 characters within the line beneath the name of a reviewer? E. g.:
Foo Bar· 1.278 Reviews · 10.509 Photos
The point separater and the space before and after are utf8 characters. Namely:
thinspace: E2 80 89
middledot: C2 B7Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedLet me know if I can do anything else for testing purposes. Showing all reviews is very important to us, so if you have a workaround this would be great!

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedOk, thanks! Just upgraded to WP 5.4.1, but the error still exists.

Collation: which table? There are some with a different one. Most use utf8mb4_unicode_ci.

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] No reviews importedHi,
I experienced the same issue. All reviews are shown on the import page, but I cannot import a single one (also none without any emoticons). Plugin-Version 3.3. Collation: utf8mb4_unicode_ci.
A small proposal for a general improvement: It would be nice if you could append a link under the review list so that a user is able to see all reviews in a separate popup windows.
Anyway, thank you very much for the plugin!
Thanks for any help,
Thorstenok
