Thanks for the quick reply. I am trying this method, but in the meantime would it be possible for you to explain the correct way for adding the field to additional products?

Within the “Select Products” Box, there are a bunch of blue boxes of products on the site that the custom field I established has already been assigned to. Is the correct way of adding more products to that by clicking on the tiny upside down triangle next to the “x”? So that unused products would populate somewhere and be offered to add?
