My site is also encountering the same problems and I already updated to v 5.4.2. The site won’t go down immediately, but would definitely slow down in a span of an hour ’til we start to get Database Error messages. It’ll be so bad that I won’t be able to log in the WP site admin.
This forces me to go inside our cpanel and delete the plugin folder from there.
Can you help?
