Thanks for the reply but that’s not at all what I was looking for. Article permalinks were easy…I was looking for clean URLs on the front page, archives and categories pages after turning the “post paged” option on.
I did find a plugin I that satisfied my needs though: http://www.huddledmasses.org/2004/05/28/prev-next_links/
With a few tweaks to the rewrite rules and the php in this plugin, I got what I exactly was looking for.
