    I fixed the issue. For anyone curious in the future – somehow I had gotten my glossary terms set to “Classic,” that for some reason prevents the more link from appearing. Using “Convert to blocks” fixed the issue.

    edit: I was incorrect. I bulk imported by Glossary terms using WP All Import, something about the way it creates them makes it so that I have to open the term and click “update” before the more link appears. Not sure what the issue is.

    Link added. I have it set to 120 characters, not words. Not sure what other settings I can check.
