I found a plugin called WP SES that fixed the issue. There seems to be a email authentication handshake issue with Wp Mail SMTP plugin that wasn’t present a few months back when I set it up.
I updated my instance from t2.micro to t2.small and I’m still getting the same behavior. I did more testing and I think I’ve narrowed the issue down to the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin. When I send a test email from that plugin settings page, I see the same issue. Btw I am using aws ses service.

In reply to: [OnePress] Can no longer edit static front pageI’ve traced my issue to the Jetpack plugin. If I deactivate the plugin, I can see the Static Front Page Sections within the Customizer.
