Already done – it was the first thing I did after you cracked it!
It worked – no crashes and my Category Colours are back! Thank you so much for your consistent and speedy help and advice, it’s really appreciated. I was on the verge of deleting the whole Calendar and inputting all of the events again.

I have put it on Pastebin (I think) under:
As I said, I have pasted the code at the end of the functions.php file on the line below the ?> at the very end of the file (as one long string of code without a line space and also as a string of code on two lines with a line space as it appears below):
add_filter( ‘tribe_events_pro_customizer_css_template’, ‘__return_empty_string’, 20 );
I have tried to add the code into the functions.php file three times now and each time it has crashed WordPress and I have had to upload the original functions.php file in order to log in. Again, I expect this is because I did something wrong but I did check where to paste it etc and I thought I had done it correctly and been careful about spaces etc but I guess not!

Hi Andy,
I had a go at this, copying the code exactly as you had written it above so it became the last line of code on the functions.php file on the Edit Themes page under Appearance –> Editor
I then clicked Update. The only change it seems to have made is to add the line of code at the top of every page on my site! My guess is I have added it wrong or maybe I need to add something like a bracket at the end of the code?
If you have any suggestions I will give them a go, otherwise I guess I will just have to wait unti Modern Tribe can have a look at this, although I don’t think it will be anytime soon as they say they can’t give a timescale at the moment.

JoThanks Andy – I am not very expert (to say the least) add making code changes so have waited a while to see if Modern Tribe can fix the problem. I had a look today and can open the code page etc but am not sure where this code should be inserted. Is there a particular place it goes or can it go anywhere?

I changed a lot of colours as I am experimenting with colour schemes. The changes I remember making are as follows:
1. Appearance -> Theme Options -> Colours -> changed colour scheme from black to white and changed the various link, header etc colours
2. Appearance -> Customise -> Colours -> Background colour changed from black to white
3. Appearance -> Customise -> The Events Calendar -> General Theme and Global Elements and Month/Week view colours all changed
I believe it was the changes to number 3 that caused the problem.
